Spring

Images taken from space

Show the earth lit

In a glowing blue halo

But on a spring day

Its hard for me

To imagine

There’s not a flaming beam

Of green light engulfing the stars

Powered by trees

Leaves aflutter in the wind

Rejoicing in their arousal

The wooded earth, speaking its joyful hymn

To the universe in a color

Reserved only for spring
